"Almost all birds eaten." Foxes terrorize a village right outside Minsk
Local residents say that for many years, this is the first time they have encountered such brazen raids by wild animals. Red predators are increasingly approaching people. They are regularly spotted in cities, and in villages, they feel completely at home, writes Tochka.by.
This time, the animals have taken a liking to the village of Zatsan, located just beyond the Minsk Ring Road. A local resident shared information about the fox raids on Threads.
According to her, for about a month now, the village has been experiencing a real bandit chaos.
"Foxes steal chickens and rabbits at night (and many here keep chickens). Every night, 10-20 birds disappear because of these red ones! Almost all the birds have been eaten. Residents are in a panic, we are thinking of contacting services. We've lived here for so many years, and nothing like this has ever happened," the woman wrote emotionally.
In confirmation of her words, the author of the post published a video from a surveillance camera.

The footage shows a fox with prey in its mouth swiftly running along the road. Apparently, the predator is heading towards the forest with another trophy.
Under the publication, Belarusians first and foremost advised not to delay contacting the relevant services.
"Contact the local forestry enterprise, let the game warden resolve the issue. In addition to direct material damage, foxes are carriers of rabies. If it bites a owner's dog, cat, or goat – then everyone will be in trouble," noted one of the participants in the discussion.
Her concerns are not unfounded. Foxes are indeed considered one of the main carriers of rabies – a disease that affects the nervous system and, without timely medical attention, leads to death.
