A new scheme has appeared in the wagons of the Minsk metro. It has one major inconvenience
A new metro scheme has appeared in the "Minsk-2024" family metro trains, which operate on the Autazavodskaya (second) line. It is made in the form of a narrow electronic scheme and is placed above the train doors, writes Blizko.by.

A year ago, a similar scheme was shown on the third metro line, and back then it caused quite a few complaints. Now it has appeared on the second line, which has a different number of stations, different names, and locations of transfer hubs.
First, let's show the schemes that appeared in 2025 on the third line.

The Metropolitan officially reported that this was done at the request of passengers (mainly of the older generation) for better information perception. The information has become clearer, the metro press service claims, and the fonts are noticeably larger, which is especially relevant for older passengers.

Passengers had the following complaints:
"It looks like some kind of greeting from the 2000s / early 2010s, and in the most awkward format."
"Too much bright green, and the scheme itself looks terrible at an angle. The first design looked much calmer and more pleasant."
"I think tomorrow we need to call the metro and say: the old map was better, nothing is clear from the new one."
"Uneven block sizes. White on green is not very readable. Signatures in both Russian and Belarusian languages of the same size also spoil the design everywhere."
"It was unreadable due to small text, but more or less neat, and now it's barely readable due to the clutter of names in two languages in identical execution, and the neatness is straight from MS Paint."

And now, a scheme used in the trains of the second line has been shared on a transport forum. Here's how it looks.

It is evident that both schemes — last year's on the 3rd line and the current one on the 2nd — are made in the same style. But there are also differences:
- The tilt of the blocks with names is made in the other direction;
- All names are typed in capital letters;
- Transfers to other lines are now indicated by stripes in the colors of the respective lines.
One of the few but serious inconveniences is that, due to the continuous capital letters, all names blend into a mess. Some words, whose letters extend beyond the even row of letters (for example, the letter "д" in the names "Маладзёжная", "Трактарны завод" and "Аўтазаводская" or the letter "ц" in the name "Кунцаўшчына") seem to cling to the white dividing lines — making it even harder to read.
