Another Polish priest is being expelled from Belarus

Another priest of the Pinsk Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church has not received permission from the Belarusian authorities to continue pastoral service in the country. This is already the third such case since the beginning of the year, writes "Christian Vision".

Bishop Antoni Dziemianko of Pinsk informed the faithful about the situation. According to him, state bodies did not approve the continued service of Father Janusz Pulit, who for 32 years prior had been a parish priest in Ruzhany and Lyskovo parishes of Pruzhany district.

The bishop noted that the Pinsk Diocese already finds it difficult to provide regular pastoral care to all parishes from Brest to Gomel due to a shortage of local priests. He emphasized that the long-serving parish priest is leaving Belarus not of his own free will, and called it "a pain for all of us".

Previously, cases of non-renewal of permits for Polish priests were not publicly commented on by the heads of other dioceses, so the faithful learned about them mainly from unofficial sources.

Meanwhile, according to information from "Christian Vision", two more Polish priests of the Pinsk Diocese, whose permits for service were expiring, received new permits for another six months.
