Gomel official had to address the problem of Vietnamese pigs

On September 9, Alexander Novikov, Chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee, held a personal reception for citizens. Residents of the Babovichi rural council turned to him for help with an unexpected problem, reports the local district newspaper "Mayak".

The neighbors of these people were dissatisfied with the fact that they were breeding Vietnamese pigs in their yard. Following this, specialists studied the situation and went to the site with a commission, however, no violations of requirements or sanitary norms were found among the applicants.

Oleg Chumakov, Chief State Veterinary Doctor of the Gomel District, explained that the legislation does not specify a maximum permissible number of pigs that can be bred. The main thing is to comply with all requirements for their keeping and restrictions related to disease prevention.
