Solvents exports is no more than solvents export, official says.
All oil products exports from Belarus conform to the current Belarus–Russia contracts stated the Chief of State Customs Committee Aliaksandr Shpilieuski, BelaPAN reports.
“There is no any illegal exports and there cannot be one. I officially state that everything entering ot exiting Belarus is strictly controlled,” says Mr. Shpilieuski.
Last week, the Russia’s ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov mentioned that Russian party noticed drastic increase (four times’ in 2012) in oil exports to Belarus in 2012.
Russia is concerned that Belarus illegally exports the oil products in the guise of solvents to European countries to avoid paying taxes to Russia.
Surikov mentioned that Belarus buys much more oil than it is required to satisfy the home demand and that last year Belarus sold 2mln tones of solvents and thinners.
According to the contracts, Russia provides Belarus with oil at reduced prices in exchange of tax from exports of the oil products to countries which are not the members of the Customs Union.
However, there is no tax for solvents and thinners imposed.
