Following a visit to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, for the CSTO summit, and then to Myanmar, Lukashenko arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on the Arabian Peninsula.
Lukashenko's visit to this country is presented as a "working" one.
At the airport in Muscat, the capital of Oman, he was met by Abdul Salam Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority.
During the visit, Lukashenko is scheduled to hold talks with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
The Sultan of Oman, by the way, visited Minsk quite recently, on October 6, 2025. At that time, it was reported that Belarus and Oman intend to implement a major agricultural project in the Vitebsk region. In addition, the parties agreed on the construction of a new pulp and cardboard plant in Belarus with Omani investments of approximately $1.4 billion.
