Coale again gave hope for the release of Belarusian political prisoners
U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale was asked on the social network X whether the release of political prisoners can be expected in the near future.

Yana Kavalyova — sister of political prisoner Illia Verameyeu, who was detained in February 2022 and sentenced to eight years in a penal colony, asked Coale: "Can we hope for the release of political prisoners in the near future?"
Coale answered with one word: "Yes".
Earlier, in June, when asked on the social network X when he expected to be in Minsk, the American special envoy replied: "Soon." Before that, Coale stated that he had not yet finished his work on the release of political prisoners and urged people not to lose hope.
And to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's post with thanks to the American side, Coale replied: "More [releases] are ahead."
When asked by "Nasha Niva" during the "New Belarus" conference, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya assured that the humanitarian track continues.
"It's not a pause, but circumstances. We understand that it's difficult to negotiate with the regime, but we are in constant contact with Mr. John Coale and are very grateful to him, Mr. Donald Trump, and Marco Rubio for facilitating this humanitarian track. Follow Mr. Coale's social media, he says good news is expected," she said.
According to the American side, the USA has facilitated the release of more than 500 Belarusian political prisoners in total.
