An investigation revealed that the thefts were committed by a 64-year-old resident of the Vitebsk region who came to the capital for work. For several days, he charged his phone at the station and, noticing unattended gadgets there, took them for himself.
In total, the man stole three phones and later sold them to other people, spending the money he received.
According to him, the owners themselves were to blame for the loss of property, as there was a warning sign near the charging station stating that the administration was not responsible for the safety of devices.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspect.
