Egypt for $900. Belarusians bought a last-minute tour and shared what they got for the money
A family from Mogilev vacationed in Hurghada on a last-minute trip and shared their experience of a spontaneous journey: from finding a "tasty" price to a detailed schedule of activities. Did betting on a proven hotel pay off, and what did the tourists lack for complete happiness, Myfin.by investigated .

"All-inclusive" for $1,791 for two
Inna and Valery from Mogilev planned their vacation for January, but just in case, decided to re-monitor tour prices in early December. Among many options, an attractive price popped up: $1791 for two for 11 days on an "all-inclusive" system. They had to fly out a week later from Moscow.
"Moreover, it was our favorite 4-star hotel, Beach Albatros Resort; we had already vacationed there several times before. So, we made a quick decision: let's go! Seven days later, we drove to Moscow, and our son drove us to the airport."

The Mogilev residents were used to active vacations. For Inna, yoga, step aerobics, and dancing were a priority. Bachata, salsa, and zumba alternated in the morning and evening schedule. Valery spent most of his time on the volleyball court, where truly strong teams gathered.
"We liked absolutely everything about the hotel. The rooms were fresh, with quality renovations. We got a room with a view of the 'wild sea': swimming there is forbidden, but you can walk along the coast. The only thing we lacked was time: we would have liked to add at least four more days to the vacation.
I particularly want to note the food: wholesome, balanced, and truly healthy.

The menu featured practically any meat except pork: turkey, chicken, beef. The fish selection also impressed: trout, dorado, shrimp, and calamari. Berries and fruits were delightful. For breakfast, they served wonderful honeycomb honey and freshly squeezed juices, prepared right in front of us. Everything, including various types of potatoes, from boiled to fries, was cooked deliciously, like homemade. A separate mention goes to the cafe with a huge selection of pastries, fresh baked goods, and exceptionally aromatic coffee."
Total trip budget — slightly more than $2,000
In December, Inna says, vacationing in Egypt is ideal: comfortable sea at 23-24 degrees Celsius, air temperature 26-28 degrees Celsius. An important advantage of the hotel was its sandy beach with a convenient, gentle entry into the sea. And from the pier, one could observe the multitude of fish for which the Red Sea is so famous.

"The hotel grounds are well-maintained, very green, with cleanliness and comfort everywhere. The palm alley with beautiful evening lighting was especially memorable. The infrastructure is well-thought-out; there are water parks for adults and children, as well as a kids' club. By the way, the hotel is very popular with families with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. There were also two heated pools: one closer to the sea, the other deeper within the territory."
Evenings were also not boring; entertainment programs were organized for guests — for both children and adults. The staff was unobtrusive, all friendly and courteous.
"The goal of our trip was relaxation and wellness: we wanted to breathe sea air, warm up in the sun, and replenish our vitamin D deficiency by walking barefoot on the warm sand. For us, a dry climate, which has a beneficial effect on the respiratory tract, is critically important. We did not leave the hotel grounds — there was no need to do so in 11 days. We had visited all the iconic places in the region previously, so there was no point or desire to spend time and additional funds on excursions."

The husband and wife believe that the price for the vacation fully corresponds to the quality, and the expenses are justified. The total trip budget was $2,010. About $100 was spent on diesel to Moscow and back, around $20 was spent on tea, water, and snacks on the road. They paid $25 per person for visas at Hurghada airport, and another $50 was left at the pharmacy — they bought vitamins.
