In the visa application form, Epstein indicated the address Koritskogo, 8 — the Minsk address of the Shuliak family. As the girl herself wrote in one of the letters, they planned to stay at her family house. Correspondence from 2018 shows that they stayed at the Marriott then.
In one of the letters, Epstein's assistant complained that the Belarusian consul had issued a visa to the influential millionaire not for a year, but for two months.
Financier Jeffrey Epstein was accused of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. According to the investigation, the businessman received sexual services from underage girls and "loaned" them to influential people.
In 2008, he pleaded guilty in a case of soliciting prostitution, including against minors, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, which he did not serve in full. In 2011, Epstein was released after serving 13 months in prison.
On July 7, 2019, he was arrested again, and a month later, on August 10, the businessman committed suicide in a prison cell in New York. He faced up to 45 years in prison, and dozens of witnesses and victims were ready to testify against the financier.
