Now, a certificate from the military enlistment office will be required to obtain a passport for those aged up to 27
An important innovation for those obtaining or exchanging a passport or driving license, writes the "Economic Newspaper".

Now, the list of documents that a citizen of Belarus, who has reached the age of 14, must submit to the Department for Citizenship and Migration (DCM) to obtain a passport, has been supplemented with a certificate from the military enlistment office or state security agency regarding their attitude to military service.
Such a certificate will be required from all men aged 18 to 27 (with the exception of those who have arranged permanent residency outside Belarus and/or are on permanent consular registration).
It will be issued by the military enlistment office (its separate unit) or a state security agency — depending on where the conscript is registered.
The certificate is issued free of charge within one working day and will be valid for 6 months. To obtain it, you must present a military ID (conscript's certificate) or another military registration document, and in their absence — an identity document, such as a passport.
A certificate from the military enlistment office will also be required when:
- obtaining an identification card, including a new ID card instead of a lost one;
- exchanging a regular passport and ID card;
- issuing and exchanging a biometric passport;
- issuing and exchanging a driving license;
- restoring driving rights after the expiration of a deprivation period;
- obtaining permits for the acquisition of civilian weapons.
