Former head of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center staff, Colonel Dmitry Kazyura, exposed in February 2025 for collaborating with the FSB, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for transferring secret information to Russian special services, writes "Ukrainska Pravda".

He was recruited by the FSB in March 2018 in Vienna. For monetary remuneration, he undertook to collect and transmit defense information, including data constituting state secrets, to Russian special services.

According to the investigation, since then Kazyura maintained constant contact with his Russian handlers. For conspiracy, he contacted representatives of Russian special services through an intermediary. He personally signed encrypted messages.

The "mole's" active operations began during the full-scale invasion. His duties included spying on SBU command posts and transmitting data on attacks on business centers, as well as the number of wounded military personnel and civilians.

From 2024 to 2025, he systematically transmitted information about the consequences of missile strikes on objects in Kyiv, locations of SBU units, data on military units, official documents, and analytical materials.

He also transmitted documents marked "secret" regarding critical infrastructure objects, in particular the gas transportation system, and plans to strengthen air defense at these objects.

In February 2025, the traitor was exposed as a result of an unprecedented special operation code-named "Shchur" (Pike/Rat), SBU notes. In his testimony, he admitted that he worked for the FSB of the Russian Federation for monetary remuneration.

According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, the court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law, as well as illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives).
