On the night of January 21, during a massive drone attack on southern Russia in the village of Novaya Adygea, located on the border with Krasnodar, a multi-story residential building in a complex was damaged by an explosion.
A powerful fire broke out at the impact site, spreading to the parking lot: the fire destroyed 15 cars, and another 25 cars were damaged.
The head of the republic, Murat Kumpilov, reported that 11 residents of the building were injured. Nine people, including two children, were hospitalized.
A state of emergency was introduced in the area, and people left homeless were temporarily accommodated at a recreation center.
The official version of the Russian authorities is traditional — a downed drone allegedly fell on the building.
However, military analysts and the ASTRA publication, after analyzing the video of the impact moment, insist on a different explanation: a Russian air defense missile hit the multi-story building. The footage shows a characteristic fast flight and trajectory of a projectile flying directly into the building.
This night became one of the most extensive in terms of the number of drones involved. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported 75 downed UAVs, with more than half of them — over the Krasnodar Krai.
