The State Control Committee of Vitebsk region stopped the distribution of unethical advertising that misled consumers. The basis for the inspection was citizens' appeals.

Residents of one of the houses in Vitebsk reported that representatives of a commercial company were distributing offers for cleaning подъездов (building entrances/shared areas) into mailboxes. These papers, in addition to advertising services, also contained information seemingly about payment, for example: "to pay by 26.12.2025 — 6.95 rubles."
In fact, citizens were offered to pay for services, although residents had not entered into any agreements for their provision with this organization. At the same time, the "receipts" lacked full and necessary information about the service, which could mislead people. Company representatives explained that these documents were an offer to conclude an offer-contract, and acceptance was supposedly confirmed by payment.
Such actions were recognized as unethical advertising, the distribution of which is prohibited by the law "On Advertising." The head of the commercial company was issued a directive on the inadmissibility of distributing improper advertising.
