8 people attended the farewell ceremony for Vasil Bykau's widow

The farewell ceremony for the writer Vasil Bykau's wife, Iryna Mikhailovna Bykava, took place yesterday, January 25. Journalist and deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the XII convocation, Siarhei Naumchyk, shared on Facebook distressing details of the funeral.

«Today, in the two-million-strong capital of Belarus, eight people came to bid farewell to Iryna Mikhailovna Bykava (including three family members). History will record this event,» Naumchyk wrote.

Iryna Bykava passed away on January 21. She was 99 years old.
