Chelyuskintsev Park Prepares for Reconstruction — Public Discussion Begins
Chelyuskintsev Park may soon undergo changes. The Pervomaisky District Administration has put forward a project for its partial reconstruction for public discussion, as reported by «Minsk-News». The project discussion will begin on February 5th.
The 59‑hectare recreational area, located next to the main avenue and a metro station, attracts thousands of city residents daily during the summer. The last significant update to its infrastructure was carried out more than ten years ago, between 2003 and 2010.
The new phase of improvements will primarily affect the central alley and its adjacent territories. Over 10 million rubles are planned to be allocated for these purposes.
Instead of various trade outlets, 10 non-stationary cafes and 32 retail pavilions connected to utilities will appear. Standard designs with «wood-like» facades have been developed for them to harmoniously blend into the environment.
The park will feature new attractions: a «Ferris Wheel», a «Boat» ride, and a «Roller Coaster». The children's play area will be completely modernized in its previous location.
Lighting replacement, installation of modern benches, renovation of waste collection areas and ticket booths, as well as the creation of a barrier-free environment are planned.
The project discussion will last from February 5th to 19th. Relevant materials are available on the website of the Pervomaisky District Administration. Suggestions and comments are accepted at the address: 220012, Minsk, K. Chorny Lane, 5, office 306, or by email: [email protected] with the subject line 'Public Discussion'.
