In Myadzel, a Guy Pretended to be a Girl and Extorted Money from Men

The young man created a fake profile under the name "Diana" and communicated with men to ask them for money. One of the victims paid the guy 150 rubles for pornographic materials, previously downloaded from the internet. The next day, "Diana" offered him a meeting with "a continuation" and, under various pretexts — rent payment, meeting guarantee — convinced the man to transfer another 1950 rubles. However, after receiving the money, communication ceased.
After that, the victim realized a fraudster was at work and contacted law enforcement agencies. The police quickly found the young man, who had previously been tried for a similar offense.
During interrogation, he tried to justify his actions by his difficult financial situation: a pregnant wife, lack of money, an unpaid fine, but these arguments did not convince the investigators. Now, the criminal case under articles on fraud and distribution of pornography has been handed over to the prosecutor for referral to court.
