Durex condoms will become 30% more expensive due to the war in the Middle East. This was reported by Bloomberg by Goh Miah Kiat, CEO of Malaysian company Karex Bhd., which manufactures Durex, One, and Carex condoms.
"This is undoubtedly one of the most significant price adjustments we've made in a very long time," he said.
According to him, the price increase will occur within two to three months due to a 25-30% rise in production costs, caused by a shortage of petroleum-derived chemicals, as well as an increase in raw material prices, which has affected the entire supply chain.
