It all happened on the evening of April 21st, on the 23rd kilometer of the R-1 "Minsk — Dzyarzhynsk" road. The 75-year-old priest did not go down into the nearby pedestrian underpass, but instead tried to cross the R-1 highway from the Fanipol side (near the bus stop) towards the village of Chechyna. In this spot, due to the acceleration lane, the highway becomes as wide as eight lanes.

Vladimir was hit by a 25-year-old Minsk resident who was driving a "Volkswagen Golf 6" towards the capital.
The Dzyarzhynsk District Department of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules resulting in negligent death. The maximum possible penalty for the driver is 5 years of restricted freedom. But this is if the girl is found guilty).

Vladimir Badyulkin was born in Svetlogorsk. He graduated from the Minsk Theological Seminary. He was married and had two daughters.
In 1990, he first became a deacon.
From 1990 to 1992, he served in the clergy of the parish of the Church of Mary Magdalene, Equal-to-the-Apostles Myrrhbearer, in Minsk. From 1992 to 1994, he was the rector of the parish of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Syarheyevichy, Pukhavichy District, Minsk Region.
In 1994, Vladimir was sent to serve in Fanipol. There he founded and built the Church of the Ascension of the Lord.
In 2006, Badyulkin was elevated to the rank of archpriest. In 2014, he became a cleric of the newly established Maladzyechna Eparchy.
This January, due to health reasons, Vladimir effectively retired — becoming a supernumerary cleric of the Maladzyechna Eparchy.
He was laid to rest on April 23rd — in the very church in Fanipol that Vladimir founded.

The Church of the Ascension of the Lord was built in 2000. Vladimir Badyulkin was its rector for two and a half decades
