Minsk "Dynamo" Hockey Player Vitaly Pinchuk Moved to Play in the NHL. Lukashenka Hoped He Wouldn't "Run Away"
24-year-old Belarusian hockey player Vitaly Pinchuk is moving from Minsk "Dynamo" to the NHL club "Nashville Predators". The team's press service announced this.

Vitaly Pinchuk
The athlete himself previously said goodbye to Minsk "Dynamo" and thanked the club's management, coaches, and fans, assuring them that "Minsk will forever remain a special place for me". He noted that six years at "Dynamo" became an important stage in his life, during which he grew as a player and as a person.
Pinchuk expressed gratitude to the club's management for creating conditions for player development and for the high professional level of organization. Special thanks were extended to the former head of the hockey federation, now senator Dmitry Baskov, because, according to Pinchuk, it was he who, at one time, believed in him and gave him the opportunity to prove himself at a high level.
Interestingly, back in early April, Alyaksandr Lukashenka, while visiting a training session of hockey "Dynamo" before their unsuccessful series against Kazan "Ak Bars" in the Gagarin Cup quarterfinals, and addressing American legionnaire Sam Anas, urged him to stay at "Dynamo" further, playing together with Pinchuk:
"Sam, you still have to play 5 years in Minsk. Together with Pinchuk. Because he will run away if you go somewhere else."
But it seems that the Belarusian Pinchuk decided on a "flight" to America regardless of the American's decision.
