"He came, held an umbrella over her, hugged, and kissed." The mother of the murdered Tatiana Martishchenko told about her relationship with the child's father
Tatiana Martishchenko, a 43-year-old pregnant woman whose murder shocked Belarus, loved her partner and was happy with him. This was told by the woman's mother, Svetlana, on the ONT program "Alarm Button," writes "Onliner".
Tatiana Martishchenko disappeared on September 8. On September 11, she was found murdered. Alexei Gavrilyonok, a 38-year-old former hockey player and referee, with whom the woman was expecting a child, was detained on suspicion of the crime. Tatiana was six months pregnant and was carrying a boy.
According to Tatiana's mother, she last spoke with her daughter on September 7 at 4:49 PM. By evening, Tatiana stopped responding to messages. Her daughter, who studies in Moscow, could not contact her mother and urgently flew to Minsk. That night she arrived at the apartment, but Tatiana was not there. The next day, relatives contacted the police.
On the morning of September 10, at 06:58 AM, Tatiana's mother called the search and rescue team "Angel". A representative of the team said that the circumstances of the disappearance immediately seemed atypical to the searchers. They contacted criminal investigation officers, who were already working on the case, and helped distribute a missing person alert and searched for possible witnesses.
Tatiana's mother also elaborated on her daughter's relationship with the detainee. According to her, they had been together for about two years, Tatiana loved the man and was happy with him. The pregnancy, the woman claims, was desired by both.
When the couple announced the news to their parents, the man himself offered to show the ultrasound picture: "Here, we will be parents." Later, the future parents organized a gender reveal party — they were expecting a son.
The program also showed a segment with the suspect. When asked what he felt after burying the body, the man replied that he had no emotions afterwards.
Tatiana's mother says that until the very end she could not believe his involvement in the murder. According to her, she had previously seen a completely different attitude towards her daughter:
"He came, held an umbrella over her, hugged, and kissed."
The woman's body in the morgue, as told in the program, was seen only by her daughter Zlata. After that, the girl decided that the coffin would not be opened.
