It didn't help.
On Saturday, in the match of the 23rd round of the Belarusian football championship between Minsk "Dinamo" and BATE, FC BATE chairman Andrei Kapski watched the game with icons in his hands.
Former general director of "Krylia Sovetov" and now president of the Eurasian direction of the investment fund No Limits Sports (UAE), Vadim Andreev, was also seen with him.
At the end of the second half, cameras again showed Kapski Jr., who had turned the icons towards himself.
BATE lost 0:2 yesterday. After 22 played matches, the club occupies the 14th line in the tournament table, with only three victories for the once glorious team.
According to the rules, two teams are directly relegated to the first league, and the team that takes 14th place will play play-off matches with the third team of the first league.
15-time Belarusian football champion BATE was continuously champion from 2006 to 2018, playing in the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League. In 2024, it finished eighth, and last year — 10th.
