In Minsk, after extensive reconstruction, the Museum of Watchmaking of Belarus opened — the only museum in the country dedicated to the history of watches and watchmaking, reports CTV channel.

The exposition of the Minsk Watch Factory "Luch" tells about the development of watchmaking in Belarusian lands — from ancient sundials to modern mechanisms. The museum features over 200 exhibits, including a collection of its own watches, covering the period from 1955.
After the reconstruction, the museum was expanded and new exhibits were added to make it more interesting for visitors. Among the rare items is a part from the tower clock of a church in Grodno, as well as models of ancient sundials from other museums around the world.
Factory representatives note that "Luch" products are sold not only in Belarus, but also in Russia, Germany, and Asian countries. It is also reported that a joint collection of watches with BelAZ will soon go on sale.
