Hollywood actress Gillian Anderson, known to many for her role in the series "The X-Files," participated in the creation of the Belarusian pavilion "Official. Unofficial. Belarus" for the Venice Biennale.
In an Instagram story, she wrote:
"I am proud to have worked with this team, lending my voice to the recorded testimonies of recently released Belarusian political prisoners as part of this project.
Their powerful stories tell what it means to lose one's home and family; about how to rediscover oneself and try to create a new home in another country. Bringing the stories of these brave people to the world is vitally important."

The actress's Instagram account has 3.7 million followers.
The stories of political prisoners were also voiced by actors Jude Law, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley.
The Belarusian exhibition at the Biennale was created by the team of the Belarusian Free Theater together with artists and composers. The project curators are Natalia and Daniela Koliada.
