Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, held by the United States in New York on drug trafficking charges, is in an overcrowded cell with 18 other inmates. His son, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, told Spiegel about this, Bild writes.
According to him, American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was among Maduro's cellmates for some time.
On January 3 of this year, in Caracas, Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were abducted by American military personnel and brought to New York. They were charged, among other things, with drug trafficking. Both plead not guilty and remain in jail in Brooklyn until trial.
"My family has nothing to do with drugs or terrorists. This is all a political process," he stated.
