On the evening of May 19, information about the death of 23-year-old Belarusian volunteer Tsikhan Kliukach on the front in Ukraine spread , initiated by former political prisoner Pilip Shaurou. However, there is no precise information about this. As reported to the publication "Zerkalo" by Vadim Kabanchuk, a representative of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus for Defense, Kliukach is considered missing in action in the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he serves.

"As far as I know, he is considered missing in action in the brigade, so it's impossible to say now that he died. Until there is an official statement from the brigade where he served, based on both moral and human values, we cannot talk about it," Kabanchuk noted.
It is unknown when and under what circumstances Kliukach went missing. Kabanchuk could neither confirm nor deny the date of May 9, which Shaurou had mentioned.
According to Kabanchuk, the status "missing in action" is a very broad concept.
"A person might be out of contact, there might be an isolated position where communication is difficult. He might be a prisoner. If something happened to a person, body exchanges occur, and only then is the person identified, who they actually are, and the fact of death is confirmed."
