In Gomel, a drug courier sold a fatal dose of methadone and received 14 years
Believing in easy money, a resident of Gomel became a drug shop courier. After a dose he sold, a person died.

The 32-year-old man retrieved drug batches from stashes, packaged them into small doses, and made new stashes. He received his "earnings" via a crypto wallet. This continued for six months until one of the batches proved fatal for the Gomel resident, writes "Belka".
Then he received a task to package methadone and completed it. Three acquaintances pooled their money after work and bought a dose. Colleagues had practiced this method of "relaxing" before. They used the drug and went home.
But one of the friends stopped responding. The others became worried and found his sister. When she arrived and opened her brother's apartment, she found him already dead.
Later, forensic experts confirmed: the cause of death was a methadone overdose. The concentration of the drug in the deceased's blood many times exceeded the lethal dose.
The drug courier who packaged the methadone was detained by the police with evidence in a relative's garage.
"The actions of the accused, taking into account the death of the drug addict, were qualified under a more serious article. He pleaded guilty and stated in court that he had not considered such consequences of his actions. The man was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment and a fine of 200 basic units (9000 Belarusian rubles)," reported Natalia Kapitanova, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of Gomel.
