The son of Sviatlana Shatsilina, head of the Mission of Democratic Belarus in Ukraine, was detained but released
The nature of the suspicions against him is still unclear.

Information about Mykyta Shatsilin's detention appeared in Ukrainian media. They wrote that Mykyta Shatsilin, head of the department for veteran policy of the Irpin City Council, could have been detained for involvement in schemes related to assisting with evasion of mobilization.
"I don't know the reasons and circumstances of the detention yet, as I haven't had a chance to contact my son. I hope to have more complete information soon and we will provide it," Sviatlana Shatsilina told "Nasha Niva".

Mykyta Shatsilin is a war veteran; he participated in hostilities on the side of Ukraine back in 2014. After the start of the full-scale war, he participated in the defense of Irpin, Borodyanka, and Makariv. He was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
Closer to evening, Mykyta Shatsilin was released — he recorded a video where he walks down the street, confirms his detention which occurred on May 26. And adds that "he is prohibited from commenting on the case by Ukrainian law."
