According to the investigation materials, the young mother lived with her husband and two minor children and for two years regularly participated in gambling, mainly in online casinos. For this, she had seven different gaming accounts.
For her obsession, the woman spent money intended for children, including child benefits, and also borrowed from relatives. As a result, the family found itself in a difficult financial situation: there was not enough money even for food and utility payments.
In April this year, due to the fact that the basic needs of the children were not met, there was not enough food in the house, and money was used improperly, the children were recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation.
The district prosecutor appealed to the court in the interests of the children and the woman's husband with a demand to restrict her participation in gambling. The court fully satisfied this demand: the woman is prohibited from visiting gambling establishments, including online ones, and participating in gambling for a period of three years.
