The short film "Everyone Was Called Angelika" (Wszystkie miały na imię Anżelika) by Belarusian director Sasha Kutsen received the "Golden Lajkonik" – the award for the best short film at the 66th Krakow Film Festival.

The film tells the story of manicurist Angelika, who tries to return to studying law, but learns about an unplanned pregnancy. Surrounded by clients, guinea pigs, and an AI bot, she searches for meaning and her own voice to make a decision in a world overflowing with other people's opinions.

Aliaksandra (Sasha) Kutsen is a third-year student of the directing faculty at the Warsaw Film School. "Everyone Was Called Angelika" is her second film and "last stop" before her diploma project. Aliaksandra was born in Belarus, engaged in photography, collages, and animation, and in recent years has made short films and music videos, and held exhibitions in Poland and Belarus.

Her previous film "Loser" (Przegryw) was shown at several film festivals, and at the Czech Mlada Kamera, it received an award for the best fiction by a creator under 30.

The Krakow Film Festival is an important venue for short films in Poland. Winning there makes it possible to nominate the film for an "Oscar" and the European Film Award.
