In the Vawkavysk district, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished a fire on a combine harvester and prevented the spread of fire to a large part of a pea field, reports the Grodno Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The report about the fire near the village of Mstsibava was received by the rescue service on July 26 at approximately 15:03. When rescuers arrived at the scene, the combine was already fully engulfed in flames. In addition, about two hectares of peas were burning.
Before the firefighters arrived, farm workers tried to stop the spread of the fire themselves, but were unsuccessful.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations quickly extinguished the fire. Another 88 hectares of peas, which remained on the vine, were protected from the fire.
Four units of firefighting equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
