Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Valentin Rybakou, after reporting to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, announced his upcoming meeting with US President's Special Envoy John Koole.
In the coming days, Rybakou plans to return to New York for a personal meeting with Koole. He notes that a message from Lukashenka will be conveyed to him. "We will wait for the results," he added.
The diplomat reported that "literally a few days ago, certain new proposals from the USA were formulated for us," with which Lukashenka got acquainted and "gave corresponding instructions to those structures that should deal with the implementation of these proposals."
Commenting on the possible format of further interaction, the Permanent Representative stated that questions that can be resolved in bilateral relations are currently being discussed, as well as the next steps that both sides can and should take after his previous visit.
"Perhaps we will talk about some subsequent visits. I will not announce specific things or dates now," he said.
At the same time, Rybakou emphasized that the dialogue with Washington continues, and the "contacts with the American side are very stable and regular."
"Our contacts with the American side continue, they are very stable and regular," said Valyantsin Rybakou. "Virtually once a week - ten days, I have meetings with Mr. Koole - the main negotiator from the American side and other representatives."
