Over four years, more than 3,000 modular waste collection structures have been installed in Minsk
By the end of the year, their number will increase by at least another 36.

More and more modular waste collection structures (MWCS) with compartments for solid municipal waste, secondary material resources, and bulky waste are appearing in the courtyards of the capital, reports Minsk-news.
From 2022 to 2025, 2,354 such containers were placed in the city. From January to August 2026, another 710. By the end of the year, their number will increase by at least another 36 units.
As noted by Elena Bondaruk, Head of the Land Management and Capital Repair of Courtyard Areas Department of the Minsk City Housing and Communal Services (MCHCS), modern modular structures are convenient to operate, protected from precipitation, and generally contribute to improving the sanitary condition of territories.
Modular waste collection structures are being installed in residential areas where residents have agreed to the decommissioning of garbage chutes, and also in place of existing container sites that are in an unsatisfactory technical condition.
