Viktar Babaryka thanked the head of Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the meeting with the Belarusian side in New York.
«I thank Radoslaw Sikorski for the meeting with the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs within the framework of the UN General Assembly, despite today's difficult circumstances. Any opportunity for dialogue is important if it can contribute to improving relations for the benefit of the people of Poland and Belarus», Viktar Babaryka wrote.
The ex-political prisoner noted that «in this meeting, we see the actions of a real partner».
Earlier, Babaryka spoke about the necessity for Belarus of a European partner: «The Belarusian people also need a partner. I think that in fact Europe is precisely that partner who could more clearly articulate its possibilities of support».
