A resident of Kamenets district bought a regular "brick" loaf of bread, produced at the local bakery, but found a metal object baked directly into the crust. Visually, it resembled a small tube or washer, "Kamenec News" writes .
The customer photographed the discovery on September 18 and sent the photo to the manufacturer. The company confirmed that the metal object could indeed have gotten into the bread due to equipment malfunction.
As explained at the factory, on the night before the woman bought the bread, the chain jumped off the line guiding the products in the bread-baking oven. It is presumed that at that moment, one of the fastening elements flew off and fell into an empty bread mold, which was baked in the next batch.
The malfunction was minor: the equipment was quickly repaired, the broken part was replaced, and the enterprise's downtime lasted no more than half an hour.
The bakery admitted that the metal element was not noticed due to its small size and human error. Representatives of the enterprise offered their apologies to the customer.
