«I was young, now self-promotion doesn't interest me.» What is that same divine Zurab doing today?
Once, thanks to an essay about himself commissioned by «Penguin» magazine, entrepreneur Zurab Arudzhau woke up famous. He wanted all of Minsk to talk about him, but he got even more. Having matured, Zurab does not strive for personal publicity, raises a daughter with his wife, and recently started a new venture: he opened a floristry studio.

Zurab from the «Penguin» magazine version.

Divine Zurab today.
«Divine Zurab. Divine — that's exactly what his Azerbaijani father and Belarusian mother christened him. And although his name is Georgian by origin, because his grandmother was Georgian, this only adds a zest to his appearance and character. Zurab... Unusual, sincere, bright, outrageous, strong, noble — one can endlessly list all his masculine qualities. He simply loves good cars, and they suit him! He is young and ambitious. He loves all the best — the best resorts, the best clubs and restaurants, always stays only in the best hotels, he drinks only the best champagne...»
If you don't remember these lines from the «interview of the millennium», then you are either too young or simply live in a media vacuum. In 2011, Iryna Kabasakal, editor and author of the Minsk magazine «Penguin», dedicated a large text-ode to entrepreneur Zurab, which immediately, thanks to its form and grotesque content, spread across the internet and brought the publication unprecedented ratings. Unfortunately, the magazine no longer exists, so the original link to the article has not been preserved, but if you ask Google about the divine Zurab, it will still provide many amusing links and lively comments.
Like six years ago, Zurab Arudzhau strives for luxury and is engaged in business. His main field of activity is construction. The man decided to try his hand at floristry not so much for money, but for the soul: «I always wanted to do something that would please the eye, so a flower salon is, one might say, a labor of love. Following one boutique, I hope to open two more locations,» says the entrepreneur.
Recalling the events after which he woke up a star, Zurab says that now, having matured, he would hardly have done something like that.
«PR won't help a businessman. You either go and reach new heights on your own, or you don't. Back then, people started recognizing me visually, I received more attention from women, and these facts had to be hidden from my wife... In short, there were few useful consequences, it was just fun. But I don't regret anything in life at all, what happened — happened, it remains in the past.»
Six years later, the story of the divine Zurab is mostly recalled by friends and acquaintances of the main character: they joke about it from time to time, but nothing more. The main thing is that the entrepreneur's dream, which he voiced to Iryna Kabasakal, came true: his daughter Mialannia was born, with whom he spends all his free time.
