Evgeniy Bulka is accused of fraud in Dubai for $1 million. But he says he is the victim himself.
Russian media reports that a Belarusian showman tried to open a private Russian school in Dubai together with a star of "Dom-2". But now the school is not operating, and parents are left without money. Evgeny Bulka told Nasha Niva his view of the situation.
A few days ago, Russian media reported that Belarusian showman Evgeny Bulka, along with "House-2" star Andrei Chuev, found themselves at the center of an international scandal due to fraud involving the private Russian school "School of the Future" in the UAE. It was alleged that the men promised to create a Russian-language educational institution with comfortable conditions, and the cost of tuition there started from approximately 5,500 euros to almost 11,000 euros per year.
This year, the private school did open and begin operating, but soon serious problems began: utilities were cut off, and later the building was sealed. Now, not only parents who paid for tuition consider themselves victims, but also teachers who were promised comfortable accommodation and assistance with paperwork for working in the UAE.
"Nasha Niva" asked Evgeny Bulka to talk about how he got into this unpleasant situation. The showman claims that he has nothing to do with the creation of the school and was only a hired employee himself.
It all started when Evgeny was looking for a kindergarten to send his child to. In one of the local chats, the administrator of that very "School of the Future" (which also had a kindergarten) wrote to him and offered him to come to them. They also promised an installment plan for tuition payment.
— I came to that school first as a father. I understood that my child doesn't have the base to receive education in English. Plus, there are almost no kindergartens in our area. So I decided to go and see what and how.
The school provided for British and Russian-language tracks. That is, it was possible to first educate the child in the Russian-language track, and then transfer to the British one.
During a conversation with the school management, Evgeny talked about his background. His experience interested the management:
— And such a phrase was uttered: "Listen, maybe you would be interested in becoming our director of extracurricular education? Moreover, we are planning to expand, we need new teachers."
The first time Evgeny refused. But after that, he met a Russian citizen, Andrei Chuev — he also brought his child to the school, and then stayed there as an assistant.
— Andrei has business experience, experience in the field of construction. Therefore, he supervised the repairs in the school. And he said: "Yes, the project is really interesting. With your experience, you can also be very useful here. Try it, I believe in this project."
On the school's Instagram, Andrei Chuev called himself the PR director and made a video review of the territory.
