In Orsha, a new mural with Karatkevich is being painted in the old place PHOTO FACT
This spring, during the renovation of house No. 2 on Marat Street in Orsha, a mural was destroyed, painted for the 90th anniversary of Uladzimir Karatkevich in 2020. Now it is being restored, noted "Vitebsk Spring".

The end wall of this house faces the street named after the writer, and it was there that a drawing was made by the Orsha artist Dzmitry Talkachou. Then it was hidden under thermal insulation, and the disappearance of this interesting feature in the city, which was loved by both locals and tourists, greatly angered the public.

Now there will be a mural again in the same place. By the writer's 96th anniversary (November 26), artist Liubou Rabeka, who collaborates with the creative association Shakola art, promises to complete it. She has only been working in this artistic genre for two years.
The portrait of Uladzimir Karatkevich will be in color and against a nature background. Previously, on the mural, besides the portrait, there were drawings of the writer himself and quotes from his works. The line "I was. I am. I will be." has been decided to be kept.
