Germany plans to welcome Viktar Babaryka and Maria Kalesnikava

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told ARD that they are ready to welcome Viktar Babaryka and Maria Kalesnikava.

"We will welcome at least two prominent figures of the democratic movement from Belarus, because we are interested in strengthening this democratic movement, even if it has to develop outside the country," DW Belarus quotes him as saying.

The minister clarified that he was referring to Kalesnikava and Babaryka, "who played a significant role in the democratic movement" and were recently released.
