Laureate of vocal competitions and participant of a singing choir sent to penal colony for participating in protests
At the beginning of the year, the Moskovsky District Court of Minsk heard the criminal case against Daniel-Landsey Keita. He was charged under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code. The process was handled by judge Tatiana Pirozhnikova.

As human rights defenders have now learned, the young man was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment. He is in the Shklov colony, writes "Viasna".
His detention became known last June — in a "repentance video" he "confessed" to having participated in protest actions in 2020, leaving negative comments about police officers and government officials, and also having a negative attitude towards Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.
It is known that the young man is a 1st degree laureate of the Republican Shalyapin Young Vocalists Competition and a 3rd degree laureate of the International Shalyapin Young Vocalists Competition.
