The Minsk court, having considered the application, recognized that there are sufficient grounds to initiate bankruptcy proceedings and introduced a protective period for the company.
Belaruskali's goal is to secure the return of over 220 thousand rubles in debt, as well as compensation for approximately 2.4 million rubles in losses.
EAA was established as a joint venture between Belaruskali-Agro and the Estonian company European Agricultural Agency, which is controlled by Belarusian businessman Aliaksandr Bahachenka. The company was engaged in selling agricultural machinery in Belarus and other post-Soviet countries. Bahachenka himself is also the owner of the agricultural media portal AgroNews.
In 2024, EAA failed to fulfill its obligations on its bonds, and later the Ministry of Finance of Belarus suspended their circulation. By the end of the same year, Belaruskali-Agro attempted to sell its stake in the company, but without success.
The court hearing for the bankruptcy case is scheduled for mid-January 2026. Meanwhile, Aliaksandr Bahachenka is actively developing business in Poland and recently established a new company there.
