Some districts of Vitebsk and Mogilev regions will receive additional support for five years
Alexander Lukashenka signed a decree on additional measures for the development of certain regions of the country. The document is designed for the period until 2030 and is aimed at supporting the districts of the south-east of Mogilev Region and Poazerye (Lake Region) in Vitebsk Region.

The decree applies to Kastryukovichy, Klimavichy, Krasnapolye, Krichau, Slavgorod, Khotsimsk, and Cherykau districts of Mogilev Region, as well as Braslau, Haradok, Dokshitsy, Lepel, Myory, Polotsk, and Ushachy districts of Vitebsk Region.
The document provides for the creation of more favorable conditions for economic development, the opening of new enterprises, and the implementation of investment projects.
To support investors, funds will be allocated from the national budget, which can cover up to 35% of capital expenditures for projects implemented with the involvement of loans from the Development Bank of Belarus. At the same time, projects must confirm their economic efficiency and justify their payback periods.
The decree also provides for the development and approval of a program for the socio-economic development of the south-east of Mogilev Region for 2026—2030. A similar section will be included in the development program for Vitebsk Region. These documents are to be reviewed by the regional councils of deputies.
