Pensioner unable to gift house to children after voluntarily visiting psychiatrists
The pensioner voluntarily underwent a comprehensive psychological-psychiatric examination before formalizing the gifting of her house to her children. She wanted to ensure that the transaction would be legal and would not become subject to future legal disputes, writes the State Forensic Examination Committee.
During the examination, specialists found that the woman had previously been repeatedly observed by psychiatrists and had various psychiatric diagnoses. According to her, the treatment helped improve her condition, but she took the prescribed medication irregularly.
Based on the results of the comprehensive examination, experts concluded that at the time of the examination, the pensioner was not fully able to comprehend the nature and significance of the decision to gift the house, nor could she independently control her actions when entering into such a transaction.
