The construction of the National Historical Museum continues in Minsk.
Maksim Kotau, director of the museum construction directorate, spoke on STB about the progress of the work: "Five floors have been completed. Finishing works are still underway, tiles are being laid, but the main frame is mostly finished."
"The work of the art complex on the exhibition has already begun. The work of artists on site to create exhibition halls, I think, will begin closer to spring," he added.

Simultaneously, the design and construction of the future museum are underway. Materials in the arch in front of the museum were changed to make it cheaper.
In 2025, about 90 million rubles were spent on the museum's construction. 86 million were allocated, plus about 5 million transferred from subbotnik (voluntary unpaid work day).
Recall that the museum will be located in the Orlovskaya Street area, and the building will replicate the contour of Belarus. On the facade of the new museum, they will place figures iconic for Belarus, as agreed upon by the official authorities — for example, neither Prince Vitaut, nor writer Vasil Bykaŭ, nor rebel Kastuś Kalinoŭski were included. The museum was planned to be built by 2027.
