A number of Telegram channels are spreading information that the large industrial city of Karaj, located near Tehran, has allegedly come under the control of rebels. According to the same reports, protest demonstrations have affected not only the regions but have also reached the capital of Iran.
In the west of the country, in Kermanshah province, two members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed during clashes between security forces and protesters. This incident indicates a rise in tension and the level of violence during the protests.
Amidst the events, US President Donald Trump made a harsh statement. He announced that the United States would deliver a "powerful blow" to Iran if Iranian authorities began killing protesters. According to Trump, this warning has already been officially conveyed to the Iranian leadership.
If the protesters manage to overthrow the regime, one can hope, among other things, that the supply of components for Russian "Shaheds" will cease.
