Minsk plans to significantly expand its floral landscaping. As reported by Alexander Yarmalovich, General Director of UE "Minskzelenstroi", at least 50 thousand rose bushes will be planted in the city, and the number of flowers on the dividing strips of major thoroughfares will also increase.

According to him, the phased and comprehensive improvement of parks, squares, and boulevards remains the basis for the development of urban landscaping. This strategy will continue in 2026, with individual selections of plants and small architectural forms for each area.
In floral design, as before, the proportion of annuals is planned to be reduced. While about 2 million were planted in 2021, by 2025 this number was 1.4 million. For 2026, the planting of about 1.2 million annuals and at least 100 thousand perennials is planned throughout the city.
The landscaping of dividing strips on main roads will also continue. First, frost-resistant violas will appear there; in May, they will be replaced by containers with perennial flowers, and at the end of the season – chrysanthemums.
In addition to roses, Minsk will also see more hydrangeas – about 10 thousand of these bushes are planned to be planted, which, according to the head of the enterprise, should give the city even more vibrant colors.
