11-year-old schoolboy took a home safe with money and valuables to scammers
First, the boy was called by fake mobile operators who asked who he lived with.
Then other scammers called and threatened the schoolboy that if he didn't obey them and follow their instructions, his parents would be arrested, and he himself would be sent to an orphanage. The child got scared and believed them.
For several weeks, the criminals kept in touch with the boy and convinced him that they were watching him.
As a result, under the instruction of the scammers, the schoolboy found the home safe but couldn't open the lock. Then the child was ordered to take it out to the common balcony. The same day, a courier came for the safe. The child, out of curiosity, watched him and remembered him well.
Based on the description, police officers found the man. A 32-year-old resident of the Gomel region himself became a victim of fraud and thought he was helping the police.
Under the instruction of the scammers, he bought an angle grinder, opened the safe, after which he took all its contents abroad — over $5,000, gold rings, and pearl necklaces.
