The Minsk Margarine Plant introduced a new product in its line of mayonnaise sauces under the brand «Zalataya Kroplia». The distinctive feature of the new product is its color, which you certainly don't expect from classic mayonnaise — it's pink, writes Telegraf.news.
The pink mayonnaise is not yet available on the manufacturer's website, but they recently unveiled the new product on their social media. There is also a mixed reaction from potential buyers.
It is assumed that the color of the mayonnaise is achieved by adding beet juice.
Commentators on social media noted that the product should have been released a bit earlier, as it is perfect for dressing the traditional Belarusian New Year's salad — «herring under a fur coat». Some even joked that if it had happened a month earlier, they wouldn't have been able to count the money from sales. Others expressed readiness to buy the product even now, if only they could find it somewhere.
There were, however, also those who did not share the enthusiasm. They believe that the application of such mayonnaise is very limited, and in the «herring under a fur coat» salad, an additional color is not needed, as beetroot, which is the main ingredient, already provides the necessary shade.
Despite this, many commentators were interested in where to buy the pink mayonnaise and how much it costs, which indicates that the product will still find buyers.
