Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced today his intention to appoint an envoy for Belarus and emphasized the need to support democratic forces in Belarus. The head of state reported this during a conversation with journalists.
"I have not appointed an envoy for Belarus. I want to appoint one," the President of Ukraine said.
Zelenskyy said he aims to meet with several diplomats he is considering for the relevant position.
"I want a strong personality for the position of envoy for Belarus. I believe this is right. We need to support the efforts of democratic forces in Belarus," Zelenskyy emphasized.
