The story took place in the Asipovichy district. One Saturday evening, a company of three people — two men and a woman — were spending time drinking in the victim's kitchen.

At some point, the guest took the host's unusual kitchen knife from the table — with a long, curved, oriental-style blade, with engraving — and started to flee with it.
The assailant could not be caught, and the resident of Asipovichy could not get over the loss, as the stolen knife was expensive (worth more than 300 rubles).

A criminal case was initiated under the article "Robbery." During the inspection of the crime scene — the victim's house — a forensic expert found fingerprints, including on an alcoholic beverage bottle.

The fingerprints belonged to a previously convicted 47-year-old resident of the Asipovichy district — the victim's very guest. This was also confirmed by the results of the forensic dactyloscopic examination.
The knife, hidden under the sofa, was found in his house and sent for forensic examination. According to the expert's conclusions, the knife was manufactured industrially, is an item structurally similar to cold weapons, but does not belong to the category of cold weapons.
